Almond Poppyseed Bread

Trying to decide what to give to your co-workers, neighbors, friends, relatives....the list seems to go on and on at this time of year.  Let us help you!  There are a number of options available.

1.  Special order Regular and Mini size loaves of bread.  Pumpkin, Cranberry Orange, Double Chocolate Mint, Almond Poppy seed, Cinnamon Swirl.  Regular loaves are $5 and mini loaves are $2.  Available for Special Order. (for more varieties, please see our website) Minimum of 3 regular or 10 mini.

2.  Bags of Cinnamon, Candy Cane or Peanut Butter Popcorn.  These come with a personalized tag and are $1 a bag.  Minimum of 20.

Sweet, tender, moist, all very appropriate ways to describe our Almond Poppy Seed Bread. Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies & Spiced Pumpkin Scones

Frosted Pumpkin Cookies & Zucchini Bread

I LOVE pumpkin cookies. Cookies, in general, are a weakness for me and soft plump pumpkin cookies irresistible. I began my quest to find the perfect pumpkin cookie recipe years ago. I would have some one's cookies and think that they were good and so I'd get the recipe, but always there was something missing. They never were the "perfect" mix for me. That is until the day I was given these cookies. I was given a cute bag with three in it from a friend of mine. I tried one and was hooked right way. Not only did it have the perfect blend of pumpkin, cinnamon, and other fall spices, but it had chocolate chips and cream cheese frosting! I tried to pace myself, but I couldn't stop and they were gone in an hour.

I have a confession.  When I want a sugar cookie with frosting there is only one that will do the job, mine.  This is a blessing, and a curse.  While it is nice that I can make "the perfect sugar cookie," at least perfect for me anyway, at the same time sometimes I wish that I could go buy it and not have to go through the trouble of making it.

This week we have two of everyone's favorite:  Raspberry and Blueberry Rolls.

Double Chocolate Mint Bread

This bread is a favorite around our house.  In fact, last year my son was ecstatic when he was given a whole loaf as a present just for him.  He properly hid it in his room to avoid poachers. :0) Once you've had this bread, you will see why.  With just the right amount of richness, our Double Mint Chocolate Bread is made with Dutch processed cocoa, and a mixture of mint and vanilla extracts. The mint and chocolate are in just the right balance and chocolate chips scattered throughout add a perfect burst of flavor.   Mint icing thickly drizzled over the top make it not only beautiful to the eye, but irresistible to the tummy.

Root Beer Cookies & Caramel Iced Brown Sugar Cookies

When you first see our Root Beer Cookies you might think that your mind is playing a trick on you and you think, "Hey, those look like chocolate", but do not be deceived. These super soft cookies are root beer through and through! The cookie is a mild root beer and is wonderful by itself, but when the root beer icing is put on it, WOW, you don't want to miss it!

The Caramel Iced Brown Sugar Cookies start with a puffy, soft brown sugar cookie with pecans. The pecans provide the perfect combination of soft and crunch in every bite. Coconut Lime and Strawberry Cookies

Two of our favorites are back this week.

Scones and Double Chocolate Mint Bread

English Scones...For me they've historically an epic disappointment.  They look so yummy, I always think "Surely this time they'll be divine," and then alas, they are dry and crummy, seriously lacking in flavor.  This past week I hosted a watching of "Downton Abbey" and wanted to serve some English goodies.  I decided to try my own hand at scones and figured they would have to be at least as good or better than what I'd in the past and they were; Much Better.  After that I kind of got obsessed and made scones several times this week, tweaking the recipe to my liking, and now they're making a surprise appearance as a special.

Scones are meant to be a slightly sweet biscuit.  Moist and tender with layers that can be pulled apart, a little bit hardy with just the right amount of sweetness, they are the perfect start to your morning.  Lemon Poppyseed and Lemon Blueberry are the two different kinds that we are offering this week.  They are made with fresh Arizona Lemons and the Blueberry ones have dried blueberries. Perfect for dessert after dinner or breakfast the next day, whatever you do, don't miss out on trying these! Our Scones come 4 to a box for $4.

Cherry Cordial Bread-Reminiscent of a buttery pound cake, this sweet almond bread has a pink cherry-vanilla glaze on the top,while the bottom holds a wonderful surprise, cherry pieces and Double-chocolate chocolate chips!  Cherry Cordial bread is $5. 

Red Velvet Whoopie Pies

Red Velvet Whoopie Pies- Just hearing the name makes you smile.  If you have had Red Velvet from a store or a mix, but never from scratch, you are missing out.  I'm going to let you in on a little secret.  Red Velvet should have a little bit of a chocolate flavor to it, without being "chocolately."  It also has a very unique frosting that is sweet, and the perfect compliment to red velvet.  Separately they are both good, but together, "Ahhh!!!" (that's the heaven's singing in case you didn't know)

Blueberry Rolls and Cinnamon Rolls

This Tuesday we will be having two different sweet rolls, Blueberry and Cinnamon.  Our Blueberry Rolls have a light and sweet flavor that earns them a definite place on the list of "Sweets and treats you really should Try."  Made with real blueberries and topped with sweet vanilla icing these rolls will leave you looking forward to seconds!
Cinnamon Rolls are the classic sweet roll and there is a reason for that.  Most everyone loves them!  Start out the day with a sweet cinnamon roll made with light homemade dough, yummy cinnamon goodness that comes from using Vietnamese cinnamon and top it off with a vanilla buttercream frosting.  Everything about your day will now be better after a start like that!
